San Diego and Imperial Counties Community College Consortium Video Library
Mesa College is a member of the Consortium Video Library. As a Mesa faculty member, you may borrow videos from this library for free.
You will need a client code to reserve videos through this service. Simply call the Mesa AV Department at (619) 388-2690 and request a client code, or get one directly from the Consortium by going to the Consortium's Online Catalog and clicking on "Order Form." Once you have your individual client code, your password is Mesa.
Once you have this, you are ready to search the catalog and make your reservations. Again, you will go to the Consortium's Online Catalog to begin your search, simply click on "Search Full Catalog" when you get to this page. For detailed instructions of how to do this, go to Consortium Ordering Instructions and print out the one page document.
The video will be sent to Mesa's AV Department, located on the fourth floor of the LRC, where you can pick it up. Simply return it there as well. Deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Fridays of each week.
Replacement costs are the responsibility of the borrower.
Audiovisual Reference Service
The AV Department has access to many catalogs and online databases that are useful in finding videos that meet your curricular needs.
Contact Devin Milner at (619) 388-2547 to arrange for a search of these resources for your subject. The department will also assist you with previewing the videos and ultimately purchasing them. At present, funds for video purchases come from the academic departments; however, purchases can also be made through the consortium, and shared by all nine colleges.
